GE jumpstarts the electric vehicle industry

That represents GE’s attempt to kick-start the electric vehicle industry.

GE’s actions will certainly help accelerate the adoption of EVs and help put to rest any doubts that a paradigm shift away from fossil fuel transportation is actually happening.

It makes logical sense for GE to be in the vanguard of the charge towards an electric-based sustainable energy economy and the emerging electric-vehicle market as they already have products along most every point of the electric-vehicle infrastructure.

General Electric is heavily involved with updating the electrical transmission grid to handle the proliferation of electric autos and also manufacturers both a residential and commercial version of an EV charging stations called the WattStation.  GE also has other divisions that would also profit from the growing electric-vehicle market such as: Capital Fleet Services, Energy, and Licensing and Trading, which according to company officials could account for $500 million in revenue over the next three years.
