GE Commercial WattStation

GE’s WattStation Electric Vehicle Chargers have built-in support  for two-way communication between the electric utility and the charging station.  The EV charging station also has Level 2 capability for faster charging times compared to the standard plug-in rates provided by typical electrical outlets in the USA.

The modular design of the WattStation makes each station “future proof”, allowing easy adoption of the latest emerging technologies as soon as they become available.
GE has partnered with Project Get Ready to help build the infrastructure for electric vehicles. The retail and commercial version of GE’s WattStation is available now with home availability coming in early 2011.

GE has also partnered with ServiceMagic, the USA’s leading website connecting consumers with prescreened, customer-rated service professionals, to provide a network of certified electricians for reliable installation of their WattStation electric vehicle charger in the home. GE Capital, is also working with ServiceMagic, to help provide financing options, enabling consumers to pay for the charger and installation costs over time.
